What we collect
To play, you give a nickname and pick an avatar. That, plus your game moves, lives in server memory only while the room is open and is dropped when the room closes. No account, no email, no password, except for Secret Santa draws (below).
Secret Santa draws
The name-draw tool is the one place we keep something about you. If you run a Secret Santa draw we store its name and budget, each person's name, email address and optional gift ideas, and who drew whom, in our database. Emails are used only to send each person their private link. We don't send anything else and we don't share them. Everything for a draw is deleted automatically after 60 days. The quick draw (teams, turn order, pick one) runs in your browser and sends nothing to us. Whoever sets up a draw needs the other people's consent to use their email address.
On your device
We keep your last nickname, avatar and current room session in your browser's local storage so you can reconnect if your connection drops. You can clear it any time from your browser settings.
